A fire truck in California was on the scene in connection with another accident when the Tesla came driving.
– It didn’t feel real. All my equipment flew forward, says the chief of the local fire department, Chris DeMeo, to the local media ABC7.
A fire truck is said to have blocked the road in connection with clean-up work after another accident, when the Tesla came driving and crashed into the fire truck.
– The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. One passenger was freed and taken to hospital. Four fire constables were also transported for assessment, the fire service writes on Twitter.
The passenger was critically injured, writes ABC7.
According to ABC7, the collision was so powerful that parts of the Tesla ended up under the fire truck. After the collision, the fire brigade quickly started trying to save those involved, says DeMeo.
The incident happened on Saturday in Walnut Creek in California in the USA.
According to the fire chief, the fire service followed normal procedure by blocking the road to protect workers on site.
He reminds us of the importance of slowing down and pulling to the side when arriving at the scene of an accident.
