The United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) has announced that it will host two high-level friendlies against Germany and Ghana in October.
USA will face Germany on October 14 at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut, and Ghana on October 17 at Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee. This will be the first time the Yankees will play at Geodis Park, which has a capacity of 27,500.
These two matches will be an opportunity for the American team to test their strength against two top international teams before the competitions to come.
The USA have faced Ghana several times before, including in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups. The last meeting between the two teams was in a friendly match in 2017, which the Black Stars lost 2-1.
Ghana are a strong African team and currently sit 47th in the FIFA World Rankings
These matches will also allow American fans to see their team in action and support it.
Ghana will face Madagascar this June for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
