In the days after the 25-year-old was reported missing, a large-scale search operation took place.

Among those who participated was the perpetrator himself. He was also a member of a Facebook group that was created in connection with the search operation.

Sutherland was found dead two days later – near Lewellyn’s residence. The 29-year-old was arrested a few days after the discovery, writes The Independent.

The police have confirmed that there has been a relationship between the deceased and the perpetrator, but have not wanted to disclose what kind of relationship it is.

The motive for the murder is unknown.
