The Americans were guided to victory by Howard, who scored after an individual action in the 30th minute, and five minutes later his shot surprised goalkeeper Hugo Hävelid – 3:1. The home team gave hope with a goal “to the locker room,” when Lekkerimäki used a power play five seconds before the second siren – 3:2. In the final part, only the Americans scored goals.

An important goal for 4:2 was scored by Buium, who got to the puck after a successful puck and surprised the Swedish goalkeeper. From that moment on, the Americans controlled the action on the ice and did not let the Swedes do anything. In the 57th minute, the Swedes did not defend Leonard, who also beat the goalkeeper Hävelid – 2:5.
