TAMPERE – USA hockey players advanced to the semi-finals of the 86th World Championship. They beat the Czech Republic 3:0 in the quarter-final match in Tampere on Thursday. The Americans had the upper hand both in terms of play and shooting, goalkeeper Casey DeSmith needed 15 successful saves to keep a clean sheet.
