Various disaster relief and assistance groups are mobilizing to help tornado victims and have created funds to raise donations to support their efforts.

The American Red Cross is making it easy to send a quick donation of $ 10 just by texting the word “REDCROSS” to 90999. Other donations can be made by calling 800-733-2767 or through from the website redcross.org. Other information, such as tips for finding a victim, can be found there.
The Salvation Army has established an assistance fund for tornado victims. Donations can be made there or by calling 800-725-2769. The Salvation Army is also preparing the dispatch of mobile kitchens with the capacity to serve 500 to 1,500 meals a day for survivors and personnel who initially responded to the emergency in the affected areas.
World Vision, a Christian humanitarian group, plans to begin shipping outreach materials to churches in Kentucky beginning Sunday. In addition to food and emergency kits, supplies will include heaters, blankets, solar lights, and mini-refrigerators. Donations in support of these actions can be made there.
Samaritan’s Purse, another humanitarian group, said on Saturday it dispatched disaster response groups to Mayfield, Kentucky, and Monette, Arkansas, while other groups began targeting devastation zones in Tennessee and Illinois.
