The pro-Palestine movement is growing at major US universities, with the administrations of top educational institutions giving the green light for white-collar police intervention.
The images circulating in the last few hours on social media from the universities of Texas, Southern California, Yale and Columbia are illustrative. Police are attempting to violently break up the sit-ins, which involve thousands of students demanding an end to the bombing of Gaza.
So far there have been hundreds of arrests and clashes between student protesters and the police. Among those arrested is, according to the American media, a Fox photographer.
