WASHINGTON (Reuters) – US President Joe Biden said Wednesday he would decide whether to run for president in 2024 next year, but reiterated his willingness to seek another term.
“I respect fate,” he told reporters.
The outcome of the battle for control of the US Congress remained uncertain Wednesday in the aftermath of the mid-term elections, with many seats deemed crucial left to fill, but the hypothesis of a “red wave” that would ensure the Republicans the majority in both chambers move away.
The latest emblematic victory for President Joe Biden’s camp, that of the Pennsylvania senatorial seat won by John Fetterman against the Republican Mehmet Oz, a doctor who became famous on television, which strengthens the chances of the Democrats to maintain control of the Senate.
