Six occupants crashed Friday in Philadelphia, eastern US, two days after an air tragedy with the 67 dead in Washington, where American Airlines passenger plane collided with a military helicopter.
Local and state officials pointed out late last night that it is not yet clear though how many victims are on the ground from the crash of the plane in a densely populated area of Philadelphia, in the state of Pennsylvania, with many houses and shops.
According to the Federal Civil Aviation Authority (FAA), the aircraft was a Learjet 55, which had taken off from Northeast Philadelphia airport to Branson, Missouri. The accident occurred about six kilometers from the airport shortly after 18:30 (local time, 01:30 Greek time).

All six passengers who are dead, according to Jet Rescue Air Ambulance to which the aircraft belonged, were Mexicans.
The aircraft carried a girl “who had received a medical treatment that saved her life” and was expected to return to Mexico, Sai Gold’s NBC owner Jet Rescue Air Ambulance told NBC.
The rest of the occupants were the girl’s mother, the commander of the aircraft, the co -pilot, a doctor and a nurse, he added.

US President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social that it is “very sad to see the plane falling in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. And other innocent souls were lost. “
Video shows the bureaucratic aircraft to take a sharp dive before hitting the ground and an explosion occurred. A fire broke out in many buildings and vehicles around the Roosevelt Mall, a shopping center in northeast Philadelphia.
Eyewitnesses told local television networks that they saw human residues in or around them.
Mike Driskola, Philadelphia’s municipal councilor, pointed out that he was afraid that there would be dead among the people on the ground.
Something confirmed by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Sapiro during a press conference from the tragedy: “We know there will be losses in this area.”
According to Philadelphia Mayor Serell Parker, many houses and cars were wrapped in flames.
At present, officials are pointing out that they do not know what led to the crash of the aircraft. The weather was cold and it was raining, and there was limited visibility.
This accident occurred two days after the worst air tragedy in the US since 2009: 67 people died on Wednesday when a military helicopter collided with a passenger plane over Ronald Reagan Airport in Washington.
