A big crowd of protesters, some estimate round 400-500, occupied the central corridor of the US Capitol on Tuesday evening (Greece time).
The protesters wore purple shirts that learn “Jews Say Cease Arming Israel,” and are stated to be members of a company referred to as Jewish Voice for Peace.
Protesters staged a sit-in protest and chanted pro-free Palestine and anti-war slogans. They need the US to cease arming Israel.
Police arrested an as-yet-unknown variety of individuals and issued an announcement through X: “We’re arresting a gaggle that’s illegally protesting contained in the Rotunda. Demonstrations will not be allowed contained in the congressional buildings. We informed the individuals who got here in legally to cease or they might be arrested. They did not cease, so we’re arresting them.”
