A man set himself on fire outside a courtroom in a New York City court while Donald Trump’s criminal trial was underway, US media reported.
Spokesmen for the New York City Fire and Police, as well as the mayor’s office, were not immediately available for comment.
The man who set himself on fire received medical attention and was transported from the area, CNN reporters at the scene said, noting that the area smelled of smoke and burning human flesh.

The New York court is already under tight security given the former president’s daily presence in the courtroom in recent days.
