USA: 3% increase in retail sales in January – 02/15/2023 at 14:41

(CercleFinance.com) – After falling 1.1% in December, retail sales in the United States rose 3% in January to $697 billion, according to the Commerce Department.

Economists had expected retail sales to rise more than 2%.

Excluding the automotive sector (vehicles and equipment), US retail sales rose 2.3%.
