USA: +0.3% in corporate inventories in December

After rising 0.3% the previous month, US business inventories rose at the same rate in December 2022, according to the Commerce Department, a development broadly in line with economists’ expectations.

For their part, business sales contracted by 0.6%. At the current rate, it takes US companies 1.37 months to deplete their inventories, up from 1.35 in November.
