The main stock indices on the US Wall Street Stock Exchange closed higher at the end of trading on Friday.
The standard Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the trading session higher by 222.24 points, or 0.7%, to reach 34,061.32 points.
The broader Standard & Poor’s 500 index increased 40.56 points, or 0.9%, to 4,358.34 points.
The Nasdaq Composite Index of technology stocks added 184.09 points, or 1.4%, to 13,478.28 points.
