US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen confirmed that the scenario of increased interest rates for a longer period of time, which is currently shaking the financial markets, is still by no means guaranteed.
“People are trying to figure out what exactly needs to happen to get inflation down. The economic resilience that they’re seeing suggests that interest rates are going to be high for a long time.
