US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg Discusses Talks with US Airlines for Flights to Israel

LARGO, Oct 11 (Reuters) – U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said the administration remains in talks with U.S. airlines about flights to Israel.

American Airlines AAL.O on Tuesday suspended all flights to and from Tel Aviv until Dec. 4 and no U.S. airlines currently fly to Israel.

“We encourage American airlines and international partners to find safe ways to facilitate mobility between the United States and Israel,” Mr. Buttigieg told reporters on the sidelines of an event.
