On the 28th (local time), the US government announced entry restrictions for travelers from China, where the number of COVID-19 infections is rapidly increasing.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has announced that from the 5th of next month, all travelers entering the US from China, Macau and Hong Kong must submit a negative Corona 19 test result within two days from boarding the plane.

The CDC explained, “This measure is intended to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the United States at a time when the Chinese government has not provided adequate and transparent epidemiological information.”

China, which folded ‘Zero Corona’, has announced it will lift the quarantine of foreigners who entered from 8 next month and gradually normalize the issuance of ordinary passports for its citizens.

As a result, there is a possibility that large numbers of Chinese tourists who have been stranded before the Lunar New Year, China’s biggest holiday, will flock overseas.

Some countries have already announced quarantine regulations for travelers entering China.

India, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Italy, etc. have made it mandatory for travelers arriving from China to undergo the COVID-19 test.
