WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.com – United States of America (AS) warned that Russia will bear the consequences if the Russian opposition figure, Alexei Navalny, lost the world in prison.

Reported Kompas.com previously, the condition of the outspoken critics of the Russian President Vladimir Putin it was reported in critical condition.
Doctors worry that Navalny could die in the next few days if he does not receive medical attention immediately.
Navalny has been on a hunger strike since March 31 demanding proper treatment for his acute back pain and numb legs.
“In terms of the specific actions that we will take, we are looking at the various sanctions that we will impose, and I will not convey them to the public at this time,” Sullivan told CNN.

“But we have said that there will be consequences (to Russia) if Navalny dies,” continued Sullivan.
On Saturday (17/4/2021), a number of doctors said Navalny’s health was rapidly deteriorating and asked prison officials to immediately give them access.
“Our patient could die at any moment,” said cardiologist Yaroslav Ashikhmin, pointing to Navalny’s high potassium levels.
Ashikhmin added that Navalny must immediately be transferred to the intensive care unit.

Both France and Germany on Sunday joined a growing international protest space over Russia’s treatment of Navalny.
Sullivan said Washington had told Moscow that Russia would be held accountable by the international community for what happened to Navalny while in prison.
US President Joe Biden on Saturday said Navalny’s situation was completely unfair.
Sullivan said the White House had explained its position to the Kremlin directly.
“The best way to deal with this issue is privately, and through direct diplomatic channels to the highest levels of the Russian government,” said Sullivan.
