The US military said today it had killed 37 Islamic militants in two airstrikes it carried out this month in Syria, with several high-ranking officials from the Islamic State group and a Syria-based affiliate called Hurras al-Din. are included among the dead.
The United States’ joint Middle East Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement that the strikes took place on September 16 and 24, adding that there were no reports of civilian casualties or injuries.
