Larry King is dead. The renowned TV and radio presenter, who hosted the show “Larry King Live” on CNN for many years, died in Los Angeles at the age of 87. His death was confirmed on King’s official Twitter account.

“It is with deep sadness that Ora Media announces the death of our co-founder, host and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning at the age of 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles,” the official statement said.

Active for 63 years

Details of the cause of death
To date, no cause of death has been named. However, it was recently announced that the moderator was infected with Covid-19 and had to be admitted to the intensive care unit. King suffered from health problems throughout his life. He developed prostate cancer and in 1987 had to undergo quadruple bypass after a heart attack. In 2017, a malignant tumor was discovered in his lungs and surgically removed. In 2019 rumors of another heart attack made the rounds, but King denied them. In 2020, two of King’s adult children died.

King had started as a journalist in the 1950s – initially for a newspaper, later he drew on the radio. In 1978 he started his program “Larry King Show”, in 1985 “Larry King Live” was broadcast for the first time on CNN. King was one of the most famous talk show hosts in the United States.
