Live: US stocks rose, at the end of Tuesday’s session, with bond yields declining after Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller’s statements that the economic slowdown may return inflation to its target, indicating that there is currently no justification for further raising interest rates.
At the end of trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.25%, or 83 points, to 35,416 points, the highest level since the August 7 session.
The value of the “S&P 500” index increased by 0.1%, or 4 points, at 4,554 points, while the “Nasdaq” index rose by 0.3%, or 40 points, at 14,281 points.
