US Stock Markets Mostly Up on Monday Despite Easter Holiday on Some Exchanges

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.3% to 33,586.52 on Monday, the Standard & Poor’s 500 rose 0.1% to 4,109.11, and the Nasdaq Composite fell less than 0.1% to 112,084.36 points.

There was no trading on the London, Frankfurt and Paris stock exchanges on Easter Sunday.

In electronic trading on the New York Stock Exchange, the price of WTI crude oil fell 1.2% to $79.74 a barrel on Monday. “Brent” crude oil price on the London exchange fell by 1.1% to 84.18 dollars per barrel.

On the Dutch stock exchange “Title Transfer Facility” (TTF) there was no natural gas trading on the Second Easter.

The euro fell from $1.0905 to $1.0865 per euro on Monday, the British pound fell from $1.2418 to $1.2384 per pound, and the dollar rose against the Japanese yen from 132.16 to 133.59 yen per dollar. The euro fell against the British pound from 87.81 to 87.70 pence per euro.
