Live: US stock indices rose at the end of trading on Wednesday, with US 10-year bond yields declining to touch their lowest levels in two weeks, and the announcement of the Federal Reserve’s minutes, which indicated the possibility of increasing interest rates this year.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.2%, or 65 points, to 33,804 points, after falling during trading to 33,612 points.
The S&P 500 index also increased by 0.45%, or 18 points, at 4,376 points, and its gains were limited by a decline in the energy sector by 1.35%.
The Nasdaq index rose by about 0.7%, equivalent to 96 points, at 13,659 points, which is the highest level at the end of the session since September 19.
