Investing.com – US stocks were lower on Thursday as losses in the , and sectors pushed stocks lower.

At the end of trading in New York it lost 1.05%, while it decreased by 1.45% and fell by 2.18%.

Among today’s top stocks was Verizon Communications (NYSE:NYSE), which rose 1.40%, or 0.53 points, to close at 38.31. Meanwhile, Nike Inc (NYSE:) added 0.80% or 0.93 points to close at 116.71, while Procter & Gamble (NYSE:) added 0.23% or 0.35 points to 152 ,19 at the end of the session.

As for the weaker performer at the end of the trading day, the shares closed Boeing Co (NYSE 🙂 down 3.95%, or 7.75 points, to trade at 188.25 levels at the close. Intel Group (NASDAQ:) shares fell 3.21%, or 0.86 points, to close at 25.97, while Microsoft Group (NASDAQ:) shares closed 2.55% lower. or 6.24 points, to 238.19.

The best performance of the Standard & Poor’s 500 index was instead recorded by FedEx Corp. (NYSE:), which rose by 3.35% to a price of 175.69. 2.95% and closed at 26.21, just as Warner Bros Discovery Inc (NASDAQ:) was up 2.10% to finish trading at 9.23.

Among the stocks that underperformed today were Tesla Company (NASDAQ:), which fell 8.88%, and closed the session at a price of 125.35 per share. Lam Research Corp (NASDAQ:), which lost 8.65% to a price of 409.11, and Applied Materials Company (NASDAQ:), which lost 7.84% to close at a price of 97.60 in today’s session of Bag.

The best performance of the Nasdaq index was instead recorded by shares IsoPlexis Corp (NASDAQ:), up 102.87%, to 1.40, E-Home Holding of household services Ltd (NASDAQ:) also continued its rally to 91.76% and closed at 1.35, as did the stock Scientific core Inc (NASDAQ 🙂 climbed 72.94% and closed trades at 0.09.

Among the stocks that underperformed today were Akso Health Group DRC (NASDAQ:), which held its value by 0.00% to finish the session at 0.39, and Dragonfly Energy Holdings Corp (NASDAQ:) , which lost 40.75% at a price of 14.86 shares Acquisition of the Pacific Corp (NASDAQ:), which weakened by 35.06% and closed today’s trading session at 1.13.

The number of shares falling exceeded the number of shares that finished higher in trading on the New York Stock Exchange at 2,345 versus 734, while 105 remained unchanged. As for the Nasdaq stock exchange, 2444 shares declined and 1239 strengthened their position, while 178 shares maintained their value.

Tesla (NASDAQ:) shares dropped to a 52-week low, shedding 8.88%, or 12.22 points, to a price of 125.35. Shares of Pacifico Acquisition Corp (NASDAQ:) fell to an all-time low, falling 35.06%, or 0.61 points, to 1.13.

Dollar index futures were trading 0.25% higher to hit 104.11.
