US Stock Indexes Record Fractional Variations, Oil Sector Stocks Close Negative

The major US stock indexes recorded fractional variations in the first session of the week.

The Dow Jones lost 0.22% to 33,433 points, while the S&P500 rose 0.01% to 4,288 points. A plus sign also for the Nasdaq (+0.67% at 13,308 points).

Negative closing for oil sector stocks, after the price of crude oil in New York (contract expiring in November 2023) fell below $89 a barrel. Chevron and Exxon Mobil lost 1.23% and 1.66%, respectively.

Bucking Apple (+1,48%).
