A few months ago, the world of crypto was shaken to its foundations by developments in China. The Chinese government indicated that it minen of cryptocurrencies would be banned in the very short term. This caused a huge amount of miners to move to other countries.

Thus became aTexas Blockchain Council‘ was founded to discuss the possibilities of blockchain technology with lawmakers and to steer regulation in the right direction. This council has gained considerable influence as an event will be organized next Friday where prominent Texan politicians will speak.
The chairman of the council, Lee Brechter, hopes that the Texan government, in collaboration with the council, can turn Texas into a blockchain paradise:
“Texas is poised to become the jurisdiction of choice for blockchain innovation.”

Even Texas Governor Greg Abbott has met several times with the Texas Blockchain Council. He is quite pleased with the world of cryptocurrencies.
According to him, the world of crypto is a huge opportunity for Texas. He even indicated a while back that he plans to make Texas a world leader in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency.

In addition, Abbott recently added a number of cryptocurrency experts to a working group dealing with the emergence of blockchain technology. These include professors from highly regarded universities and key Texan lawmakers.
Texas is a huge state that would be the tenth largest economy in the world if it were an independent country. That means the potential of a Texas that fully embraces the crypto industry is huge. Of course, crypto investors can only applaud such developments.
