A train with more than 200 passengers derailed in the US state of Missouri on Monday and the wagons overturned.
The operating company Amtrak said there were “first reports of injuries.”
Three passengers were taken from the scene of the accident to Columbia University Hospital, a hospital spokesman said. He had no information on the severity of the injuries.

The train was en route from Los Angeles to Chicago. He collided with a garbage truck at a level crossing in Mendon, and several wagons derailed.
A video shared on a Twitter channel shows many passengers sitting with their luggage on overturned train cars. A conductor stands by helplessly. Apparently, after the accident, the passengers climbed out of the overturned wagons via windows.

The collision was the second in two days in which an Amtrak train struck a passenger vehicle. On Sunday, 85 passengers were on board a train in rural California that collided with a vehicle.
Three people were killed and two people sustained serious injuries, authorities said. All of the victims were in the vehicle.
