Think first, then post! “This realization comes too late for a man from the US state of Missouri, because he exposed himself as a drug user with an entry on the Facebook marketplace. The 38-year-old offered a catalyst for sale, but overlooked that in the photo a bag of methamphetamine and the associated syringe could be seen. “Apparently he must have been under the influence of drugs,” commented the sheriff in charge ironically.

The Stone County Sheriff’s Office was brought to the attention of a local resident of the treasonous post, it said on its Facebook page. “Today we arrived with a search warrant with this gentleman. (…) He still had 48 grams of meth and a pistol, which he is forbidden to own! We have now made a new place available for him,” it says.

Missouri State: Sheriff apologizes

The sheriff apologizes to potential buyers: “Sorry folks, his catalytic converters are currently not for sale.” The sheriff also has good advice for salespeople: “Make sure your drugs are not in the background!”

The arrested person is now in custody for illegal drug and weapon possession. He’s an old friend to the police. Local media reported that he had a criminal record for domestic violence, resisting arrest and endangering the well-being of a child.
