US Secretary of State Tony Blincoln Evaluates Ukraine’s Response Capability after Leaked Documents

This seems to be a measure to deal with the aftermath of the leak of documents that occurred last month. Previously, documents containing information on each country collected by US intelligence agencies, including the war in Ukraine, were leaked and caused a stir.

In particular, the document contained information about Ukraine’s so-called “spring counteroffensive” against Russia, and also discussed the strategic situation of the Ukrainian military. For Ukraine, this is offensive.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his displeasure in an interview with the Washington Post (WP) published the day before, saying, “This does not help the White House reputation” and “I have not received prior information.”

Minister Blincoln’s remarks on this day seem to be intended to rectify this situation. Minister Blincoln emphasized, “(Regarding the document) that it appeared in the media reflected a specific point in time,” and “it is not fixed.”

He also stressed that his country and other countries around the world are supporting Ukraine with weapons and training, and that he is “confident that they will successfully regain more territory.”

“It’s a strategic failure for Russia,” he said in this context.

On the other hand, Minister Blincoln said, “This is a positive thing,” regarding Chinese President Xi Jinping’s recent phone call with President Zelensky.
