TRIBUNNEWS.COM, WASHINGTON – The United States (US) carried out the attack drone targeting the Islamic State group or ISIS in Afghanistan on Saturday (28/8/2021).
Previously, ISIS claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing at Kabul Airport.
As quoted by Channel News Asia, US military forces overseeing the evacuation have been forced to co-operate with the Taliban to prevent a repeat of the suicide bombings that killed dozens of civilians huddled around one of Kabul’s main airport access gates.

The bomb also killed 13 American soldiers.
The suicide bombing attack was claimed to have been carried out by the branch ISIS in Afghanistan. The Pentagon announces it has carried out an attack drone against the “planners” of the jihadist group in eastern Afghanistan.
“Initial indications are that we killed the target,” said Captain Bill Urban of Central Command.
With the evacuation deadline just days away, more than 5,000 people are still inside Kabul airport awaiting evacuation, and thousands more continue to crowd the perimeter gates begging for entry.

Thursday’s suicide bombings only injected further stress and tension into a situation already full of panic and despair for those wanting to leave.
It is also a high risk for US troops tasked with securing the operation.
The United States issued a new warning for US citizens to leave the area around the main gate “immediately”.
