There is just no end to dying. The country of origin of hip hop is no longer a safe place for rappers. Probably anyone can name at least 3 known rappers who have been victims of gun violence in the past few years.
Be it a robbery like XXXTentacion, personal revenge like Nipsey Hussle or a gang war like many other US rappers – the causes of the murders are diverse. However, the result is always the same. Families are destroyed, people end up behind bars and millions of fans mourn.
Nick Blixky
Now there is the next sad case from the United States. Again a young man was torn from life far too early. And again, it’s an aspiring rapper. Nick Blixky, a 21-year-old musician from Brooklyn, was shot dead on the street last night.
There is currently a video of two women who have apparently observed the crime going around on the net. The video says that Nick was shot dead by the police. If you believe their statements, 7 shots should have been fired.
In the official version of the police, however, there is talk of an exchange of fire, which also explains the 7 shots. The officers could only find his lifeless body when they arrived. There were several bullet wounds in the rapper’s upper body. At the nearby NYC Health & Hospital all that could be found was that he had passed away.
The incident is already being discussed on the Facebook page of Nasir Fisher, one of Nick Blixky’s best friends. There it says that the “opps” should have shot him. Nasir himself did not comment on the circumstances of his death, only stated that his heart was broken and that he burst into tears from his son.
