It is these doubting voters who are trying to persuade Trump when he says he no longer wants to build cheap, low-income housing in the suburbs.
Obviously an election stunt for Janette: “Did he really think he could convince us with that?” Oh, look at me. I’ve stopped the low-income housing. Don’t you love me? ” “Hi! We’re not stupid. That’s what I mean: we’re not stupid people. He’s stupid.”
So they don’t agree on who they are going to vote for, but what they do agree on is that Trump often did not act presidential.
“Some things he does well. I don’t like to say it, but sometimes he’s mean. The things he claims and gets out of his mouth are very stupid,” says Susan. How Trump, for example, derogatoryly called the governor of Michigan “that woman” and threatened to turn off the money supply in the middle of a pandemic, that all ladies disapprove of.
