US President Joe Biden will ask “tough questions” in meetings with Israeli leaders during a trip to the Middle East.
As European Pravda writes, John Kirby, coordinator for strategic communications at the US National Security Council, said this on board Air Force One during a flight to Tel Aviv, reports Reuters.
“He will ask tough questions, he will ask them as a friend, as a true friend of Israel, but he will ask them some questions,” Kirby said.
Kirby declined to specify what questions Biden intends to ask other than “what their plans are for the future.”
Biden is expected will visit the country on Wednesday.
Before that he conducted telephone conversations with Israeli Prime Minister and head of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas.
