US President Joe Biden’s doctor said on Wednesday that the president exercises at least five days a week and is “in a healthy condition to perform his duties.”
This was stated in Biden’s annual physical examination note, which showed that he had a root canal last year and is undergoing treatment for sleep apnea, but he is in good health.
Dr. Kevin O’Connor wrote that Biden, 81, still suffers from a stiff gait, but it has not worsened since last year.
He added that Biden suffers from “peripheral neuropathy” in both feet, gastroesophageal reflux, allergies, and inflammation of the spinal joints, which is being treated with medications.
O’Connor explained, “The president feels well and the medical examination this year did not reveal any new concerns. He remains in a healthy state that enables him to perform his duties and fully carry out all his responsibilities without any exceptions or accommodations.”
Biden underwent a medical examination at a military hospital in suburban Maryland earlier today.
This year’s regular examination came at a time when Biden and former Republican President Donald Trump (77 years old) are preparing for a possible new confrontation in the presidential elections.
The two candidates accused each other of mental decline, and Nikki Haley (52 years old), Trump’s latest competitor for the Republican Party’s nomination to run in the presidential elections, said that the two men are too old for someone to assume the presidency of the United States and should undergo tests to measure their level of cognition.
