There is no possibility that US President Joe Biden will pardon his son, the White House says. Hunter Biden is indicted for tax and weapons offences.
When asked if the president would pardon his son, White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre answered bluntly “no”.
The president’s son has pleaded not guilty to two counts of tax evasion. He is also accused of having bought a weapon in 2018, and in that connection incorrectly stated in a self-declaration that he did not abuse drugs.
On Wednesday, he went back on a plea deal he had made with prosecutors, after a judge said she could not approve it as it stood.
