Why should Apple guarantee that? It is none of Apple’s business if you want a Chinese chip in your device. That phone is not Apple’s, that phone is yours.
It’s not about ownership, it’s about function. You do not know 100% of a Chinese chip what it does or does even more, so the security enclave is no longer of the level that Apple would like to see or guarantee. Those parts are therefore rightly excluded or functions that flow from them are blocked.
You take your phone to repair company X. They put a bad part in it (why would they do that is still an open question, I don’t know a good reason). Then your phone doesn’t work properly anymore. And now you look at Apple on that??? Didn’t think so did you? Then you go back to company X and get your story and post a negative review so that others don’t make that mistake.
Why they do that is simple, the price! Numerous smartphones are repaired with cheap parts that do not or hardly meet the original specifications. Double in the front row mentality.
As a repairer or buyer, you are of course guilty of this yourself, but in practice it is unfortunately not so black and white and the manufacturer is also addressed for this due to the ignorance and/or shortsightedness of the users. Especially if the repair was some time ago and the problems are no longer directly linked to it.
Really not a Mercedes driver who, after a starter motor has been replaced at the local garage, has the realization to say “My car with an alternative starter motor sometimes starts badly”. Then they just say “my car starts badly”, the realization that this can be due to parts of lesser quality is simply not there.
