According to them, civil war will break out if the Pentagon does not get rid of “potential insurgents” because there is a high probability of “another insurgency” if Republicans retake the White House.

Their predictions are written in the published opinion column The Washington Post last week. They are retired US Army major general Paul D. Eaton, retired US Army major general Antonio M. Taguba and retired US brigadier general Steven M. Anderson.
They called on the Pentagon to combat the potential for a subsequent post-election insurgency or coup by identifying weak spots.
Alleging that the ranks of the US army are full of would-be insurgents, the three retired generals demanded the Pentagon identify, isolate and remove any suspected insurgents from the force.
Not only that, they mentioned veterans and active team members involved in the Jan. 6 events at the Capitol.
Assessing the potential for military destruction as very real, they wrote that “We are increasingly concerned about the repercussions of the 2024 elections and the potential for deadly chaos within our military.”
As an example of the potential for such a mutiny, the trio pointed to the Oklahoma National Guard’s standoff with the Pentagon over the COVID-19 vaccination mandate.
