US Open up cancellation: New York is too early for Zverev

As introduced by the organizers on Monday, the German canceled the Grand Slam match simply because he was not feeling entirely fit right after a really serious foot personal injury at the French Open.

The US Open up in New York commences on August 29th. 25-calendar year-old Zverev is now preparing his return to the Davis Cup intermediate round from 13-18 September in Hamburg.

Zverev sprained his ankle in the French Open semi-finals versus eventual winner Rafael Nadal in early June and tore all a few lateral ligaments in his appropriate ankle. The Olympic winner was then operated on and done his rehabilitation. Although Zverev’s therapeutic method has gone according to approach, the US Open up is a tiny too early for him.
