Excitement at the US Open! A video is circulating on X (formerly Twitter) in which the Kazakh tennis player Yulia Putintseva (29) humiliates a ball girl during her third round match.

Putintseva doesn’t react to the pass at all, but simply lets it bounce off her stomach. Even when the visibly confused ball girl passes her the next ball, Putintseva doesn’t move a millimeter. She lets the ball bounce off her left foot, simply looks after it and shortly afterwards looks the ball girl in the eyes again.
Only on the third attempt does Putintseva finally take pity and catch the ball.

The reason for Putintseva’s embarrassing behavior was probably frustration over her performance during the match. The Kazakh was defeated by Jasmine Paolini (28) in two sets (3:6, 4:6) and was eliminated in the third round of the US Open.
Many tennis fans do not like Putintseva’s disrespectful behavior.
One X-user writes: “Thank God Paolini beat her, she needs some lessons in humility.” Another adds: “What a bad role model!”
