US Open | Tennis player Zverev did not give up hope of starting the US Open even after ankle surgery

Zverev was injured two weeks ago in the semifinals of Roland Garros, where he tore all three ligaments in his right ankle after the fall. He then underwent surgery and lost Wimbledon, but would like to introduce himself at the US Open.

“But I don’t want to rush anything, so I won’t go there a second after I recover. If I go to New York, just for the title. Not to play one or two rounds there,” Zverev told Bild am Sonntag.

“I haven’t given up hope of starting the US Open yet. But I would have to play a few preparatory tournaments before that. So I’ll only be there if I’m really okay,” said the Olympic champion from Tokyo.
