US OpenPlace for the women’s semifinals this Thursday in New York
Caroline Garcia against Ons Jabeur, then Iga Swiatek against Aryna Sabalenka: we will know who will play the final on Saturday in New York.
After the incredible thriller proposed last night by Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner – victory for the Spaniard in five sets and 5h15 ‘of play, let’s remember? -, it will be up to the players to make Arthur-Ashe’s pitch vibrate next night, as the semi-finals of the women’s singles are scheduled.
The first of these will challenge the French Caroline Garcia against the Tunisian Ons Jabeur. Garcia is of a lower grade than Jabeur, but at the moment she looks so fit that nothing seems to happen to her. To be checked this evening at the opening of the “night session”.
It will therefore be the turn of world number 1 Iga Swiatek to come and honor her rank. Will Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka be able to challenge her status as a big favorite in this fourth round of the Grand Slam? There, too, that’s the whole question.
In any case, the two posters promise to be seasoned.
