Watch the US Open 2024 on TV: Sky broadcasts the tournament live
For tennis fans, the announcement last year was like an earthquake. Eurosport had lost the broadcasting rights to the US Open, and only the streaming service Sportdeutschland.tv showed the tournament live. So sports fans once again needed a subscription to be able to watch.
This year there is another change, but this one will be very welcome for some sports fans. Through a comprehensive cooperation with the DOSB, the operator of Sportdeutschland.tv, the pay-TV broadcaster Sky acquired a multi-year sublicense for the US Open and is therefore allowed to broadcast the tournament live from 2024!
What does that mean in concrete terms? All Sky customers who have already subscribed to the sports package can watch the US Open at no additional cost. Sky will broadcast the best matches of the day on its tennis channel Sky Sport Tennis, and all games on Centre Court can be seen on a separate channel, usually Sky Sport 1.
