US forces previously claimed to have intercepted more than 70 drones and three ballistic missiles that Iran launched against Israel recently.

Quoted by CNN, two US officials who are familiar with the situation explained that Iran’s ballistic missile was intercepted by a warship in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. Meanwhile Iran launched a total of more than 100 ballistic missiles at Israel.

The US Navy currently has two destroyers in the Mediterranean Sea area. Both are guided missile destroyers capable of intercepting missile and drone launches.

Even so, Israel’s anti-missile defense system has intercepted most of Iran’s air attacks. Until now, the Israeli military claims that the attack only damaged one of their military posts.

A total of 31 people were reported to have suffered injuries as a result of Iranian air attacks on Israel. Dozens of people only suffered minor injuries. There have been no reports of residents suffering serious injuries.

The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service said dozens of people were injured and suffered panic attacks while heading for shelter amid a hail of drones and missiles.
