Federal Aviation Authority United States (US) no FAA requires the inspection of hundreds of aircraft Boeing 787 dreamliner free in that country. These instructions were published after the incident of a LATAM Airlines plane that went down suddenly while in the air last March, injuring 50 passengers.
As reported Reuters and Al JazeeraOn Tuesday (20/8/2024), the FAA revealed that the clear reason for the LATAM Airlines plane’s sudden dive was the captain’s chair movement that he did not order, which caused the pilot himself -mobile disconnection.
The FAA said it had received a total of five reports of similar problems with the pilot’s and copilot’s captain’s seats on Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, with the most recent occurring last June , and two other incidents are still under investigation.

“Operators must also take any corrective actions,” the FAA said in its guidance.
The FAA’s airworthiness directive affects 158 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft registered in the US and 737 aircraft of the same type worldwide.
