US MotoGP FP2 Results 2021: Marquez Fastest Again

Marc Marquez once again emerged as the fastest racer in Free Practice II United States MotoGP 2021. Marquez beat Jack Miller and Fabio Quartararo.

At the Circuit of the Americas, Saturday (2/10/2021) at dawn WIB, the session was running on a track that was starting to dry up. Marquez posted the best time of 2 minutes 04.164 seconds which was achieved on the penultimate lap in the 17 laps he played.

Petronas SRT rider Andrea Dovizioso drew attention as he pushed his way into sixth place despite finishing in 14th place. Meanwhile, Miller was again the second fastest rider after getting similar results in the first session, but this time he finished ahead of Quartararo by just 0.187 seconds.

Teammate Marc Marquez, Pol Espargaro, completed FP2 MotoGP AS 2021 in fourth place ahead of Takaaki Nakagami, Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin. Johann Zarco, who raced again after undergoing arm-up surgery, finished in eighth place, followed by Alex Rins and Enea Bastianini who completed the top 10.

Aprilia rider Maverick Vinales chose not to participate in the US MotoGP this time after his cousin, Dean Berta Vinales, died at the same circuit in the World SSP300 race last weekend.
