An American is said to have offered himself to the Chinese authorities as an agent. He got the information he presumably wanted to convey through his job.
The German federal prosecutor’s office has had an American arrested in Frankfurt am Main for suspected spying for China.
He is said to have offered sensitive US military information to a Chinese intelligence service, the German authorities said. She accuses the man of agreeing to act as an intelligence agent for a foreign secret service.
The American was arrested in Germany for possible espionage.
