US military plane crashes in California, at least four dead NOW

A United States Marine Corps plane crashed in southern California on Wednesday. According to the newspaper Los Angeles Times At least four people on board were killed. The US Navy has confirmed the accident on Facebook, but has not yet disclosed any casualties. According to the Navy, there were five people on board.

The accident happened about 50 kilometers from the border with Mexico, near the town of Glamis. Initially, rumors circulated that the aircraft had radioactive material on board, but the navy denies this.

The plane that crashed is an MV-22B Osprey. This is a propeller-driven aircraft that can land and take off vertically by turning its engines, like a helicopter.
