Today, February 7, one group of US military arrived in Poland as part of strengthening the eastern flank of NATO against the backdrop of the threat of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The contingent landed in Rzeszow.

It is reported that another group of military personnel from the US 82nd Airborne Division arrived at the Rzeszow airport. This city is located 70 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
It is also reported that as part of strengthening the eastern flank of NATO, 1,700 US troops will be deployed in Poland. The day before, several airborne groups of the 82nd US division had already arrived in Rzeszow.
According to division commander Christopher Donahue, the paratroopers landed in Poland to increase the readiness and interoperability of NATO allies in all areas.
