US Marshal arrested for abusing woman during flight to London

“Due to unruly behavior by a passenger during the flight, Delta Flight 1, from JFK to London Heathrow, was met by local law enforcement upon landing. Delta is cooperating with the investigation,” the spokesperson said.

Two law enforcement sources stated that the two federal agents had been drinking during the flight. The second Marshal He was sent back to New York on Wednesday night without charges being filed.

London’s Metropolitan Police said in a statement that its officers at Heathrow airport were informed that the Marshal had “sexually assaulted other passengers and crew” on board the flight, adding that the agent, 39, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and remains in custody.

A spokesman for the United States Marshals Service (USMS) indicated that it was aware that the officer “exhibited inappropriate behavior while intoxicated on a flight.” The spokesperson added that the Marshals Service is co-operating with UK law enforcement and other agencies.
