A man in South Carolina, United States of America (AS) dead as a result of a heart attack in his backyard. The man was killed while burying a woman he strangled to death.
As reported by AFP, Wednesday (11/5/2022), the man’s name is Josep Mckinnon. The 60-year-old man was found dead while burying the body of the woman he allegedly killed.
“McKinnon has no signs of trauma and a natural cause is suspected,” Edgefield County Sheriff Jody Rowland and County Coroner David Burnett said in a statement carried by local media Tuesday.
Authorities say McKinnon’s body was found in a pit with a woman, 65-year-old Patricia Ruth Dent. The woman is thought to have been killed by McKinnon.
“While investigating the death and making notices to next of kin, a second body was found in a newly dug pit. Patricia Ruth Dent, 65, from the same address appears to have died due to foul play,” the statement continued.
In addition, local authorities confirmed evidence and witness statements indicate that McKinnon attacked Dent in their home.
Not only that, Dent was also found tied up and wrapped in a garbage bag in the hole. Autopsies confirmed the cause of death for both.
